W.W. Atkinson's 1906 book Dynamic Thought or the Law of Vibrant Energy, which explores topics frequently covered in Atkinson's magazine New Thought and many of his other writings, combines relatively recent science with old occult beliefs. The concepts of a higher level of thinking and functioning, different mental planes, and how natural forces and the law of attraction can influence our behaviour and the behaviour of others are all discussed in Dynamic Thought. This book is intended for those studying psychological and philosophical concepts, like a lot of his other works. Between 1901 and 1905, American author WILLIAM WALKER ATKINSON (1862–1922) served as editor of the prominent magazine New Thought. From 1916 to 1919, he served as editor of the journal Advanced Thought.
